Smart Buildings Show

This event has now finished

18-19 October 2023

Smart Buildings Show is the UK’s leading dedicated commercial smart building exhibition and conference and is free to attend. Since launching in 2017 Smart Building Show has grown every year, as has the smart buildings market.

Research from Memoori has shown that Since 2015, total capital invested in startups in the global smart building space amounted to over $31 Billion. In the last 2 years it reached unprecedented levels with $5.9 Billion being invested in 2022 alone.

In addition, according to CEDIA, the residential home market is expected to grow with 88% of companies forecasting revenue growth in the next 12 months. People are more connected than ever in their work and personal life, and are demanding that their homes are too. Having the ability to control their home remotely, or from their phone or smart device has become a must for many homeowners. Smart Buildings Show is reflecting this by the introduction of the residential developers strand.

This year we will also focus on sustainability and ESG plus networks and infrastructure. Smart Buildings Show is well aware that we need a sustainable future and we are determined to reflect this through our conference programme.

We will give visitors the information they need to arrive at an informed decision on how to make their intelligent buildings more economic for owners and more functional and safe for occupiers.

Smart buildings deliver services that make occupants productive at the lowest cost and environmental impact over the building lifecycle.

To do this requires adding intelligence from the design phase through to the end of the building's useful life. Smart buildings use information technology during operation to connect subsystems, which typically operate independently, so that these systems can share information to optimise total building performance.

Smart Buildings Show 2023 will cover all key aspects of creating and managing an intelligent building, including; Building automation systems, Health & safety, Energy efficiency, Lighting and controls, Security, HVAC, Smart meters and monitoring, Networks and wireless, Software, Services and support, Building automation and design, Building energy management, Regulations and consultancy, and Workplace and wellbeing.

Running alongside the exhibition there will be a free conference programme, with four theatres:

Management
This theatre will look at how a smart building is managed, including FM, software, security, sector analysis and market information, integration, data analysis and services.

Controls & Networks Theatre
This theatre will look at the physical devices in smart buildings including building controls, energy efficiency, BEMS, sensors, wireless, networking and lighting.

Energy Management Theatre
This theatre will look at the importance of energy usage in smart buildings, whether it be in reducing costs, emissions or mapping out a sustainable future or working towards a net zero world.

Residential Developers Theatre
This theatre will bring together the integrators, resellers and manufacturers in this sector, plus the key associations and show the benefits of being a player in this fast growing sector. Whether it be controlling HVAC, security, blinds, lights or integrated audio/visual equipment, professional installation is needed and this is where Smart Buildings Show will inform and educate. From large installers on large new build projects to a local installer of smart devices, this theatre will have the answer.
