The London Homebuilding & Renovating Show, which took place for the first time at ExCeL last month, was one of its best ever, experiencing a 17 per cent increase in footfall.
The flagship event, which is sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, made the decision to relocate from Olympia this year. In its new home at ExCeL, the show demonstrated the ever-increasing appetite for home creation and transformation, bringing in a new wave of high spending buyers from Central London, the Home Counties and the East of England.
With the larger venue allowing for increased space take-up, there was also a 15% increase in the number of new exhibitors while the resounding show performance meant that rebooks onsite increased by 30%.
'It has been a really positive move to ExCeL that has been well received by visitors and exhibitors alike' said Steve Newbold, Managing Director at show organisers, Centaur Media. 'The huge success of the event this year is testimony to this, with a substantial visitor increase, great show content and a very convincing rebook. The move to ExCeL meant that this year we were able to expand the event and attract buyers from new areas, many of whom had bigger budgets to spend than in previous years.'
'We are delighted that the Homebuilding & Renovating show has enjoyed such a strong relocation to ExCeL' says Jeremy Rees, Executive Director at ExCeL. 'We've enjoyed working collaboratively with the Centaur team on the relocation process, helping them identify ways to get the best from the venue and our partnerships, and add value to their customers. We look forward to working with Steve and his team to ensure the future success and growth of the show.'
Next year's London show will be held at ExCeL London, from 23-25 September 2016.
