Global Offshore Wind 2021 surpasses attendance expectations by almost 20%

Attendance levels for last month’s Global Offshore Wind event, held at ExCeL London, have surpassed those expected by the organiser with both pre-registration and on-site delegates enjoying a 17% increase on 2019 levels.

Organised by RenewableUK, the event was last held at ExCeL in 2019 where total attendance was recorded at 3,335 compared to 3891 this year. Of those, delegates came from 42 countries, the majority being Europe, North America and UAE.

Global Offshore Wind is the largest dedicated offshore wind event in the UK, delivering insights from industry leaders and policy makers from around the globe. With COP26 around the corner, the climate crisis is at forefront of the global agenda and offshore wind has a vital role to play.

This year marked the 19th annual global offshore wind event supported by Strategic Partners Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, Ørsted, RWE, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, SSE Renewables and Vestas.
