This marks an exciting, new venture for ExCeL London, which has ambitious plans for growth beyond its core business. The venue, which is already home to 300 events, welcoming 4 million people each year, will attract new audiences, by delivering a highly anticipated, content rich, immersive experience.
The venue has plans to create new attractions along Royal Victoria Dock and is already in discussion with a number of content owners, each of whom has the potential to bring globally recognised brands to ExCeL. From next year, event organisers will benefit from Elizabeth line connections, which will offer the ability to transport thousands of visitors from central London within 15-minutes.
Jeremy Rees, CEO, ExCeL London, said:
“We are delighted to be working with The MJR Group who, in partnership with Victory Hill Entertainment and Disney’s Marvel Studio, will bring Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N to London. At ExCeL, our teams are working together every day to deliver great guest experiences. I want to ensure that every event hosted at ExCeL London is truly memorable and the experience for everyone who visits is second to none. By working with The MJR Group and expanding our proposition, I believe we will be able to attract new audiences, evolve our destination and cement our reputation as a home of world leading events.”
The MJR Group’s Creative Director, Nathan Stone said: “I’m incredibly excited to announce our partnership with Victory Hill Entertainment, which will see us bring Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N tourism attraction to one of the UK’s finest multi-use venues, ExCeL London. With Infinity War hitting $2bn at the box office, since its release, coupled with four of the franchises’ titles reaching the top 10 highest grossing movies globally for 2018, the brand shows no signs of slowing down and we are excited to bring the nation’s favourite movies to life in the training academy!”
S.T.A.T.I.O.N. will give guests the opportunity to step inside the popular films and become part of the Marvel Universe, with feature areas including Thor’s Observatory, Iron Man’s Engineering Bay and Bruce Banner’s Lab. Fans of all ages will be able to delve into the back-story of each of The Avengers as they train to become an agent of the S.T.A.T.I.O.N. For further information visit: www.avengersstation.co.uk
