"The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson is delighted to support the launch of Digital London which will take place on 13th-14th March 2012 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), ExCeL London.
This is a key event to galvanise the creation of London as Europe's Digital Hub, the building of Tech City and to deliver a legacy from the London Olympics in 2012.
The event will outline plans to make London the 'Digital Capital of Europe' in terms of its infrastructure to attract inward investment. It will also create an environment to facilitate digital innovation in services and will showcase how digital solutions can stimulate citizen engagement and enable enterprise.
Commenting on the launch, Boris Johnson, Mayor of London: "Digital London is a fantastic showcase for the city. London's position as a centre for technology, innovation and creativity underpins its growing position as the digital capital of Europe. With the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games just around the corner, there is no better time to bring the technology industry together, so that we can ensure London becomes one of the most digitally connected big cities in the world."
