IP EXPO Europe 2014, which ran from the 8th to the 9th of October at ExCeL London confirmed its place as Europe's leading cloud and IT infrastructure event. Leading members of the enterprise and public sector IT industry came together for two days attracting 13,385 visitors to the event, a 6% increase on 2013. The success of the event was highlighted by two new co-located launch events, Data Centre EXPO and Cyber Security EXPO.
Sir Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, opened the keynote programme, setting the tone for a forward looking speaker line-up. In addition to this, the speaker programme included influential figures from the industry such as Liam Maxwell, chief technology officer for HM Government and Bruce Schneier, security expert and chief technology officer of CO3. Together with experts in IT infrastructure, data centre and cyber security, the show covered the full spectrum of issues that face technology leaders in Europe's businesses as they work to deliver efficient and secure IT services.
"The move to ExCeL has enabled us not only to grow IP EXPO Europe but to launch Data Centre EXPO and Cyber Security EXPO with an impressive speaker programme. Having the three events under one roof clearly suited our UK and European audience. Our visitors deal every day with the interrelated nature of these three aspects of IT and welcome the opportunity to address all aspects of their role at one event," said Duncan Kirk, chief operating officer of Imago Techmedia, the organisers of IP EXPO Europe.
Jeremy Rees, Executive Director, ExCeL London said "As Europe's leading venue for Technology events we are delighted with the success of IP EXPO Europe. The event displayed a great deal of innovation and The ExCeL London team have supported the Imago team through the relocation process helping them identify ways to add value to their customers, to help the events to continue to flourish".
Next year's IP EXPO Europe , Cyber Security EXPO and Data Centre EXPO will run from the 7th - 8th October at ExCeL London.
