Technology for Marketing and E-Commerce Expo are set to be the biggest they’ve ever been when they hit the event halls of the Docklands venue later in 2020.
CloserStill Media, which purchased the shows in 2017, primarily took the decision to relocate so that it could continue to facilitate the growth.
Graeme Howe, Director, explains: “The growth of E-Commerce Expo, in particular - but both shows, since we bought them has been amazing. Visitors have increased by over 30 per cent and the reality is that we have outgrown Olympia.
“Given the cutting-edge nature, not just of the event, but the two industries that these events cater for, it is also important that the venue we use is modern and reflective of that. So we’re hoping that visitor and exhibitor experience will be better in that regard at ExCeL.
“It’s already looking like the decision to move the shows has been a good one. Since we announced the move, one thing we have already seen is year-on-year growth of stand square meterage, which is up 56 per cent year-on-year.
“It will definitely be the biggest these two shows have ever been. That’s great for us, great for exhibitors and great for visitors.”
E-Commerce Expo, in association with IMRG, is the must-attend event for everyone involved in B2B or B2C ecommerce, while Technology For Marketing and ad:tech – which co-locate with E-Commerce Expo – are the the UK's only events dedicated to martech and adtech and a place for marketers and advertisers to nurture their next big idea.
Combined, these events attract around 30,000 delegates and 500 exhibitors.
Caroline Gourlay, Account Manager – Exhibitions, said: “We’re delighted that CloserStill Media has decided to relocate these two fast-growing shows. For us, the work starts now in ensuring that TFM and E-Commerce 2020 aren’t just the biggest ever, but the best and I’ll be working with wider ExCeL team to ensure visitors and exhibitors enjoy the full-force of ExCeL’s unique and holistic show offering.”
Both events will be held at ExCeL London between September 30 and October 1.
