Confirmation of the race calendar for June to August reveals a series of double-headers, meaning season seven will feature more races than ever before.
Formula E and the FIA revealed that races will take place in Mexico and New York in June and July respectively, before the series returns to Europe for the London E-Prix, using a unique indoor/outdoor track at ExCeL London. Formula E then heads to Berlin for a double-header season finale in August.
Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer of Formula E, said: “It’s a massive achievement by all to release the full calendar for this season. The calendar includes the most races we’ve held in one season and shows our continued commitment to create a momentum-building schedule that fans and audiences across the world will follow. Four double-header events in Puebla, New York City, London and Berlin are going to set the scene perfectly to crown Formula E’s first official FIA World Champion.”
Jeremy Rees, CEO, ExCeL London, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting the world’s first ever indoor and outdoor Formula E race. ExCeL and the Royal Docks will provide a unique setting for this world leading event, creating an exciting experience for all involved.”
