Great food enables great event outcomes

ExCeL London, in partnership with Levy Restaurants UK, has created a new family of restaurant brands to transform the food and drink offer at the venue.

ExCeL London, in partnership with Levy Restaurants UK, has created a new family of restaurant brands to transform the food and drink offer at the venue, providing a vibrant and welcoming visitor experience. The developments see ExCeL leading the UK and international events market by offering a superior venue dining experience and responding to current food trends in sustainability, nutrition and customer experience.

Following a 10 year contract extension between ExCeL and Levy Restaurants UK in 2015, the partner organisations have begun a multi-million dollar redevelopment of restaurants and outlets in the venue, with full completion expected by summer 2016. This builds upon a successful relationship that has seen ExCeL London awarded as 'Best Caterer at a Venue' at the inaugural London Venue Awards.

The food philosophy at ExCeL is that by creating exciting and varied food offerings tailored to the diverse needs of event visitors, great food can enable great event outcomes. By delivering a modern vision of event and venue catering, ExCeL helps event organisers to boost attendance, enhance the visitor experience and inspire them to return.

New restaurants and outlets already opened include American style restaurant, diner and bar The Bridge, and E16, an artisan coffee shop and bakery celebrating ExCeL's location in the rapidly developing east London area.

Visitors to ExCeL will be greeted with the aroma of freshly baked bread from the E16 bakery which, as part of a drive to produce the vast majority of food onsite, will be baking bread and pastries to be used throughout the venue.


ExCeL is also working with a number of third parties to create enhanced visitor experiences at the venue. New outlets already open include Prime Burger and Rotisserie, with offerings from other high street brands being developed within the next six months.

A number of white label units will soon be opening which can switch brands on a daily basis; this will enable the venue to adapt its offering to individual events, thereby creating the best possible personalised visitor experience.
