Sales Manager (Conferences & Events) – Associations

We have an exciting opportunity for a new Sales Manager to join our growing C&E Sales team.

The primary focus of this role is to proactively develop and manage the growth of profitable conferences and events specifically in the national and internal associations business.

Commercial Space Planner 

ExCeL London is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Planner to join our team and provide proactive commercial support and assistance to our Commercial Sales Teams. 

The main focus of the role is the day to day booking and utilisation of space and the consistent application ExCeL’s Exhibitions and Conference and Events sales processes. The ideal candidate will be able to identify the best use of ExCeL’s flexible space and services and to maximise revenue generating opportunities.

Experience of working in a similar role is preferred or the ability to demonstrate transferable skills in space management. Potential candidate will highlight potential conflicts according to a set criteria and be able to analyse potential yield, escalating any concerns to Senior Management and Executive level. 

This role requires someone who is proactive with sound commercial acumen: able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and to communicate with clarity and in a professional manner using commercial data to influence decision makers.

To perform this role effectively you will need to be self-motivated, highly organised and with advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, especially in the complex analysis of data.

We are looking for you to demonstrate that you have the skills, knowledge and ability to handle this demanding role within a dynamic and energetic team.

Sales Support

ExCeL London is looking to recruit a Sales Support person to facilitate and regulate the ExCeL Commercial team (C&E and Exhibitions) sales process

We are dedicated to ensuring every one of our clients achieves great event outcomes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Sales Support team, and the role will specifically assist our Conference and Events Sales team. The successful candidate will provide support for the Sales Managers and Executives to help build effective client relationships and ensure a high level of customer service.

You will facilitate the administration of the sales process and will need to develop strong working relationships with the Finance team. The role also requires the enforcement of business protocols which are in line with business objectives by liaising with the Events Management, Operations and Marketing teams.

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as effective time management and the ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the company. Strong business and financial awareness, with an innovative and creative approach are desirable.

ExCeL London is looking to recruit an experienced, full time window cleaner. 

ExCeL London is looking to recruit an experienced, full time Window Cleaner. This role is primarily responsible for the cleaning of glazing throughout the ExCeL London campus maintaining company cleaning standards as well as ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Applicants must be reliable and able to work well in a team environment. Ability to use your own initiative, display a positive attitude and high standards ensuring priorities are achieved.

 

You must be able to use applicable cleaning equipment and either hold or undertake full training in scissor lift and hydraulic work platforms to be able to clean windows safely at heights.

Knowledge of basic Health & Safety regulations and previous experience working in a customer service or cleaning environment is essential.

Senior Cleaner (Zero Hours)

ExCeL London is looking to recruit a Senior Cleaner.

At ExCeL we are passionate about maintaining our venue to the highest standard and providing the best possible facilities for our clients.

We are looking for a Senior Cleaner to carry out general cleaning and associated duties as directed by management and the Cleaning Supervisors across the ExCeL London venue. Senior Cleaners are also expected to lead small teams of Cleaners when necessary. 

Senior Cleaners assist our Cleaning team during periods of peak activity and to cover leave, therefore the role is a Zero Hours contract meaning there are no guaranteed shifts. 

The position will involve frequent weekend and evening working, so you must be willing to take a flexible approach to working hours.

Knowledge of basic Health & Safety regulations and previous experience working in a customer service or cleaning environment is essential, and applicants must be reliable and able to work well in a team environment.

As CentrEd enters its next phase of development we are looking for a new Sales Executive to strengthen our team.

As the home of world leading events, we primarily engage as a service provider to business clients. From our people to our space, we know what it takes to stay ahead, which is why we’re always investing in where it matters most so that every event has what it needs to succeed, each and every time.

CentrEd was launched early in 2016 and is a state of the art training and meeting venue designed to grow revenue opportunities and deliver an enhanced customer experience within our South Gallery rooms and Waterfront restaurants. This role supports the Business Development Manager to grow the wide range of services provided and will be responsible for building on the success achieved to date and for fast tracking the growth of the client portfolio for this venue for the future.

Sales targets for this role are outlined annually and are a key measurement of performance and anyone who is motivated by challenging sales targets and service excellence will relish this role.

Service Desk Assistant

Customer service lies at the heart of ExCeL, and we aim to give each visitor, exhibitor and organiser the best possible customer experience.

Our Help Desk is a pivotal service that provides assistance to all internal and external customers. It acts as one point of contact for clients, guests and internal staff to report faults throughout the venue and ExCeL campus.

All reported faults are logged and followed up to ensure visitor expectations are met and exceeded. This is key to ensure ExCeL's service standards are at the forefront of the industry.

 

The successful candidates for the role will be friendly, cheerful, efficient and professional, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
