London welcomes the world

World Travel Market 2018

Event overview

World Travel Market (WTM) London was the first show to relocate to Excel. It has grown year on year since moving to Excel London in 2002, facilitating £3.4 billion in industry deals. The show has 5,000 exhibitors from 182 countries and regions and more than 51,000 participants.

Flexible venue

WTM has diversified from an exhibition, to a dynamic programme of learning and engagement experiences, including an exhibition. Using the flexible spaces at Excel, exciting content is delivered within the show floor, enhancing the exhibitor and visitor experience. The Press Centre has been moved to take up position in the centre of the exhibition floor. Around 3,000 representatives from the press are hosted during the three days.

Brand impact

The digitisation of the venue enables WTM to use the multi-media sites around the venue for exhibitors to amplify their message in a highly impactful way. WTM is more than an event over three days, it is the focus for reinforcing the message of the importance of travel and tourism to the UK and London at large as an employer and significant contributor to economic impact.

“WTM London celebrated its most successful event in 2018 in the show’s 39 years. Attention to detail for customer experience is important particularly with a truly international event. I have had the pleasure of working with Excel for over seven years and the relationship is born out of honest conversations to ensure that we all support and collaborate to deliver our ambition for the WTM brand.”

Simon Press, Senior Exhibition Director, Reed Exhibitions.
