Discover Market Express – the UK’s first frictionless store in an event venue. You’ll find everything you need from a range of hot and cold drinks, fresh pastries, sandwiches and snacks, to a wide range of handy everyday essentials including toiletries and stationery and even umbrellas!   

Grab a cup of HEJ coffee, a local independent-based speciality small batch roaster, from our in-store self-service coffee kiosk. Sourcing coffee direct from farmers or through established trading companies, HEJ roasts beans in-house in Elephant & Castle.

Market Express is quick and convenient, powered with Just walk Out contactless payment technology by Amazon. No app, no queuing, no stopping, just hassle-free, safe and secure shopping.

To shop in Market Express, you’ll need your contactless card or mobile wallet to hand. To enter the store, simply tap your payment method on the entry barrier and start shopping. As you select items from the shelves, the Amazon Just Walk Out technology detects what you’ve picked up or returned to shelves, creating a virtual shopping session. 

When you’ve finished shopping, you can sign up to get your receipt using the receipt point in store by entering your email address. Then, you’re all done and can be on your way. There’s no queuing for payment as the contactless payment method you used to enter the store will automatically be charged for any items you left with.

Just Walk Out technology is made possible by artificial intelligence which accurately determines who took what in any retail environment. Amazon built synthetic datasets to mimic millions of realistic shopping scenarios - including variations in store format, lighting conditions, and even crowds of shoppers - to ensure accuracy. No personal or card data is recorded during or stored after the transaction.
