Tackling the climate emergency is central to how we operate and plan for the future. Every event we host is an opportunity to reduce emissions, use resources responsibly, and inspire others to act.
Certified carbon neutral under PAS 2060, we are now progressing to ISO 14068, the new international standard for carbon neutrality.
Our Net Zero Transition plan, published in 2025, outlines clear milestones and measurable actions to achieve our targets.
We are committed to:
While our electricity is supplied via the national grid, we match 100% of our consumption with Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs), supporting renewable energy generation in the UK.
For over a decade, we have sent zero waste to landfill and continue to drive resource efficiency, from recycling programmes to housing one of the UK’s largest on-site wormeries.
We are also proud signatories of the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge and collaborate with the wider industry to accelerate change.
Our operational achievements are just part of the picture: our Sustainability Strategy, is built over five pillars and guided by insights from materiality assessments and engagement with over 600 stakeholders, including event organisers, exhibitors, visitors, employees, suppliers, industry partners, and our local community. This ensures our actions remain relevant, focused, and impactful.
Pillar 1: Sustainable Venue and Events
Pillar 2: People, Culture and Safety
Pillar 3: Our Community and Platform for Change
Pillar 4: Clients, Partners and Supply Chain
Pillar 5: Governance and Ethics
For a comprehensive view of our progress, achievements, and next steps, see our Sustainability Report 2023–24 — a detailed, transparent account of how we are delivering on our ambitions.
We actively support five local charity partners and are committed to creating long-term social value in our surrounding communities.
Through volunteering, partnerships, and responsible business practices, we aim to deliver measurable impact, supporting initiatives in health, education, and social wellbeing.
